La Plata, MD -  The Dragons went up against a hot shooting Southern Maryland Hawks team and fell 92-67.

Howard started out slow, only scoring 10 points in the first quarter and digging themselves quite a hole that they were unable to recover from.

Kyrstin Bowen (Westminster, MD/Mount Airy Christian) had an efficient game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks while Brianna Jones (Largo, MD/Largo) also recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Mia McCormick (Philadelphia, PA/River Hill) nearly missed joining the club with 13 points and nine rebounds. Ciara Little (New Haven, CT/James Hillhouse) was all over the stat sheet with eight points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists.

Howard will look to rebound in a huge regional matchup against local rivals Montgomery College on Tuesday, February 25 at 5 PM.
