Columbia, MD - For the first time in the school's history, Howard Community College will be hosting the NJCAA Region 20 Division II men and women basketball tournaments. The top eight men and women teams in the region that will have teams representing the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia will compete in the Dragons Lair in a four day span of non-stop action.

The tournament format will see the four women's quarterfinal games on Thursday, March 5 and the men's quarterfinal games on Friday, March 6. Semifinal games for both the men and women will take place on Saturday, March 7 with the championship games occurring on Sunday, March 8; the contests will begin at 1 PM on all four days. Every game will have live stats and be live video streamed online. The tournament page will also include photo galleries from each game after they are concluded.
The Howard Community College Dragons women's team earned the #3 seed in the tournament and will take on the #6 seed College of Southern Maryland Hawks on Thursday, March 5 at 7:30 PM. On the men's side, the Dragons go in as the #2 seed and will take on #7 seed Montgomery College at 5:30 PM on Friday, March 6.
Admission will be $10 per day with students, faculty and staff (with valid ID) for all participating schools as well as kids 12 and under getting in for free.
