University Center, MI - DJ Tucker (Ellicott City, MD/Marriotts Ridge) scored 16 points to lead the Dragons in a gritty 67-61 win over the Wayne County Wildcats.

The Wildcats jumped out to an early 23-15 lead before the Dragons went on a 16-0 run capped off by a David Garey (Gaithersburg, MD/Hargrave Military) three pointer. Benjamin Murphy (Reisterstown, MD/Franklin) hit a mid-range jumper and Howard took a 34-25 lead at halftime. The Dragons extended that lead to 14 midway through the second half on a Koby Baptiste (New Carrollton, MD/Parkdale) basket. The Wildcats made a late push to cut the Dragons lead to five, but Howard was able to play good enough defense to pick up their third straight win to start the season.

The Dragons will return home to play at the Dragons Lair for the first time in over 600 days as they take on the Hagerstown Hawks on Wednesday, November 10 at 7 PM.
