Keyser, WV - A pair of braces along with a shut out effort on the defensive end allowed the Dragons to cruise their way to a 4-0 season opening victory over the Potomac State Catamounts.
The Dragons wasted no time getting on the board as freshman forward
Leonard Dunor (/Sheyenne) was able to smash one in the back of the net. Dunor would go on to double the lead just after the halftime break on another great individual effort.
Joshua Martinez (/High Point), the lone returning starter from the 2019 team, did a great job pulling the strings in the midfield as he picked up an assist on the first collegiate goal by
Mahmoud Mansour (/Homeschool). It took just five more minutes for Mansour to add to his goal tally as the Dragons were in complete control of the second half.
Carlos Reys (/Laurel) started the game in net for Howard and snagged three saves for his first career win as a goalkeeper.
The Dragons will travel to neighboring rivals Frederick Community College on Tuesday, April 13 with kickoff scheduled for 4:30 PM.
