Keyser, WV - A thoroughly one-sided affair saw the Dragons start their season off with a 3-0 victory over Potomac State.

In a game where Howard out-shot the Catamounts 32-5, the Dragons struggled to find the back of the net until freshman forward Yassine Kamara (Hyattsville, MD/Parkdale) set up sophomore midfielder Rebecca Herriotts (Glenwood, MD/Mt. Airy Christian) late in the first half to get on the scoreboard.

It took until midway through the second half for the Dragons to find a second as Tahlia Stangherlin (Hanover, MD/Pallotti) ran past the Potomac defense to score her first career goal. 

Just two minutes later, the prolific returning All-American Madalyn Nichols (Mt. Airy, MD/Glenelg) scored on a nice Herriotts helper to put the game away for good. Fellow All-American Hailey Murray (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) picked up another shutout in her illustrious career, needing just two saves to earn it. 

The Dragons will continue their long road trip to start the season as they next travel to Frederick on Tuesday, April 13 at 2:30 PM.
