Columbia, MD - A second half surge by the Catonsville Cardinals led them past the Dragons in a 4-2 battle by the neighboring rivals.
Catonsville took the early lead on a Kwame Duncan long range shot past Howard goalkeeper
Gabriel Viteri (/Wilde Lake).
Leonard Dunor (/Sheyenne) answered back midway through the first half as he cut through the Cardinals defense and poked the ball between the legs of the visiting goalkeeper. Dunor took the lead for the Dragons with less than a minute remaining in the first half as he stole the ball away at midfield and converted the fast break chance.
Both teams were forced to deal with injuries throughout the game with the Dragons having few healthy bodies to finish the game. The Cardinals took advantage with three second half goals, with striker William Yami scoring two and assisting on the third to close out the game.
The Dragons will travel to the #2 nationally ranked CCBC Essex Knights to finish out the regular season on Saturday, May 15 at 4 PM.
