Columbia, MD - A thoroughly impressive performance over 90 minutes of play allowed the #3 ranked Dragons to shutout the Hagerstown Hawks 8-0.
After the two teams met earlier in the season in which the scoreline was pretty close, this game was completely dominated by the Dragons as they outshot the Hawks 52-3 in the contest.
The Dragons had seven different goalscorers in the game with only
Juliana Hill (Woodstock, MD/Seton) scoring two goals for Howard with
Madison Dzubak (Highland, MD/River Hill),
Rebecca Herriotts (Glenwood, MD/Mt. Airy Christian),
Madalyn Nichols (Mt. Airy, MD/Glenelg),
Kayla Hatmaker (Woodbine, MD/Century),
Lillian Scott (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville), and
Jenna Naumann (Sykesville, MD/Century) each scoring a goal. Scott also chipped in a couple of assists with
Tahlia Stangherlin (Hanover, MD/Pallotti) and Nichols also adding assists to their names.
Howard will only get one day to rest before taking on Anne Arundel on Thursday, May 6 at 1 PM for their regular season finale.
