Columbia, MD -
Kori People (Washington, D.C./Central) scored 31 points and the Dragons were able to emerge victorious over Christendom in their first game of 2022.
It had been more than a month since the Dragons had last played a game, but there was no signs of rust for Howard as they came out firing early on taking a 21-8 lead after the first quarter. An even better second quarter had the Dragons way ahead which allowed them to cruise their way to a comfortable win.
People shot 12-20 from the floor along with five assists and five steals while
Kalani Corkeron (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) scored 11 points.
Sarah Deese (Woodbine, MD/Century) hit three from long range to chip in nine and
Quatazia Johnson (Hyattsville, MD/Northwestern) added a career high eight points.
The Dragons will look to continue that momentum forward when they host Anne Arundel on Friday, January 21 at 5 PM.
