La Plata, MD - The Dragons were unable to build off their momentum of the weekend as the College of Southern Maryland Hawks defeated Howard 2-1.

The Dragons got off to a great start in the game as a Molly Nichols (Mt. Airy, MD/Glenelg) cross found Casey Boin (Ellicott City, MD/Mount De Sales) on the back post as she scored her team leading sixth goal of the season.

Unfortunately the Dragons were unable to hold onto the lead as the Hawks scored the tying goal three minutes later and the go ahead goal in the final minute of the first half. 

Howard had their chances with Jaylene Sotelo (/) having a couple of great chances in the second half, but the Dragons were unable to find the back of the net again. Giselle Castillo (Falls Church, VA/Justice) made 10 saves in the game as she took her third loss of the year in goal.

The Dragons will close out their regular season schedule when they host Harford on Wednesday, October 19 at 4 PM.
