Columbia, MD - Howard CC showed off their ability to control the game on both sides of the court as the Dragons defeated the Louisburg Hurricanes 87-61.
Louisburg jumped out to an early lead until a fast paced 20-3 run pushed the Dragons out to a big lead that they would never relinquish again. The second half saw Howard only add to that lead as the full court press proved difficult for the Hurricanes to get through.Â
Howard once again showed off impressive depth in the team as 10 different Dragons scored at least two baskets each in the game.
Andrew Mills (Owings Mills, MD/Newtown) led with 17 points while
O'Meech Wilson (Glen Burnie, MD/North County) gave a strong double-double performance with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Koby Baptiste (New Carrollton, MD/Parkdale) added 11 points as well as part of a Howard bench that scored 41 points. The Dragons dominated the paint with 46 points inside and shooting 52% from the field and out-rebounding the visitors 45-33.Â
The Dragons will put their 32 game home winning streak on the line when they face off against the 3-0 Garrett Lakers on Wednesday, November 16 at 7 PM.
