Columbia, MD – The home dominance of the Howard men's basketball team continued as they made it 31 straight home victories in a convincing 108-47 win over the Anne Arundel Riverhawks.
Howard made a statement right from the tip-off, jumping out to an 18-3 lead in the first six minutes with three pointers from
Ethan Wilson (Manassas, VA/Osbourn Park),
Marquis Freeman (Manassas, VA/Fork Union Prep), and
Andrew Mills (Owings Mills, MD/Newtown) to get the raucous home crowd going.
With the Dragons building up a massive lead, the starting five made the most of their limited minutes before giving way to a strong bench as all 14 rostered Dragons scored in the game.
Shane Taylor (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) took over at times scoring 15 points including a 3-3 performance from behind the arc.
O'Meech Wilson (Glen Burnie, MD/North County) was a monster in the paint with 12 points on 6-7 shooting and seven rebounds.
Howard as a team shot 59% from the field and splashed down eight three pointers while also forcing 24 turnovers on defense.
The Dragons will look to maintain their home winning streak when they host Louisburg Community College on Friday, November 11 at 7 PM.
