Long Ball Tames Catamounts 64-49

Columbia, MD – The Dragons bombed 27 three pointers, making 10 of them as they won another big regional game over the Potomac State Catamounts 64-49.
 
Going up against a Potomac State team that essentially played the same five players all game, Howard used good ball movement to find open three pointers all game long. The Dragons really started to hit shots more in the third quarter and ran away with a win that puts Howard second in the regional standings at 6-1.
 
Kori People (Washington, D.C./Central) scored 13 with six assists as one of three players to hit three from long range. Tajah Goodman (Washington, D.C./South Hagerstown) added 11 points and five assists while Sarah Deese (Woodbine, MD/Century) scored nine. Madison Carey (Brandywine, MD/Frederick Douglass) continued to assert her will in the paint with 11 points and seven rebounds.
 
The Dragons will continue their busy week of play as they travel to Hagerstown on Saturday, February 19 at 1:30 PM.
