Hagerstown, MD - The Dragons continued to build up momentum with the playoffs soon looming as they won decisively over the Hagerstown Hawks 72-58.

Howard came out a bit on the sluggish side in the first half, breaking their trend of high powered first half scoring as they only dropped 29 points in the opening frame. But the second half was a different story as a 43 point outburst in the final 20 minutes of play easily sealed the victory. 

Daeshawn Eaton (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) scored 20 points and was one of three players to tally four assists on the day. David Garey (Gaithersburg, MD/Hargrave Military) added 13 points and Hollique Johnson (Millersville, MD/Old Mill) scored 11 with eight rebounds. Koby Baptiste (New Carrollton, MD/Parkdale) and Joel Webb (Forrestville, MD/Dr. Henry A. Wise) each secured double-doubles on the day with Baptiste dropping 13 points with a season high 16 rebounds while Webb scored 10 with 11 boards.

The Dragons will return home for their regular season finale on Wednesday, February 23 at 7 PM when they take on the College of Southern Maryland Hawks. Howard has already secured a first round playoff home game as they have already guaranteed themselves the #3 seed in the upcoming Region 20 tournament.
