Columbia, MD - Kori People (Washington, D.C./Central) scored 21 points in the first half as the Dragons ran away with the quarterfinals of the regional tournament over CCBC Catonsville 72-36.

People couldn't miss in the first half, scoring 21 points in the first 20 minutes of play and finished with 26 in the game including six from long range.

The Dragons welcomed Kyndal Moore (Atlanta, GA/River Hill) back to the lineup as she recovered from her injury to score eight points in her first game since mid-January. All nine Dragons recorded at least one assist and at least two rebounds in a total team effort.

Kalani Corkeron (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) scored six points with 11 rebounds and five assists while India Young (Springdale, MD/Charles H. Flowers) scored seven with 10 rebounds.

The Dragons advance to the Region 20 Division II tournament semifinals hosted by Garrett College where they will face the #3 seed tournament host Lakers on Friday, March 4. Howard won the regular season battle 72-57 back on December 2.
