Columbia, MD - The powerful lineup of the Potomac State Catamounts proved too much for the Dragons, as they were able to sweep the series 24-3 and 13-0 with both games ending in five innings.
The Catamounts struck for 24 runs in game one with a couple of home runs. The Dragons scored once in the second inning on a
Sarah Phelps (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) RBI and then again in the third with a squeeze bunt to score
Sage Huber (West Friendship, MD/Glenelg). The Dragons struck once more in the fourth inning as Huber singled in Phelps.
Game two saw
Samantha Hobert (Elkridge, MD/Howard)Â do a much better job to hold the powerful Catamounts in check, but the Dragons were held scoreless as hits from Thompson, Burdette, Adams, and Phelps proved fruitless.
The Dragons will close out the regular season on Wednesday, April 27 when they host Anne Arundel for a doubleheader starting at 3 PM.
