Columbia, MD - Abdoul Camara (College Park, MD/High Point) scored the first hat trick of his collegiate career to help surge the Howard Dragons past the Anne Arundel Riverhawks 4-1.

Camara put in his first of the day in the 15th minute as his free kick from just outside the 18 yard box was curled into the top left corner to get the Dragons ahead early. Anne Arundel answered back with a fast break goal just four minutes later to tie the game at 1-1, but Camara scored his second three minutes later thanks to a brilliant lay off by Baraka Kagira-Kargbo (Freetown, Sierra Leone/Moorland) and a close range shot into the top of the net.

Howard made it a 3-1 lead late in the first half as a Joebel Gray (Gambrills, MD/Arundel) cross found Didier Estrada (Hyattsville, MD/Northwestern) on the back post for a wide open shot for his first goal of the season. Camara put in his hat trick goal and team leading 11th on the season in the second half when a Gray through ball found his fellow forward running through the Riverhawk defense to finish in the bottom left corner of the net.

The Dragons will look to continue their positive momentum when they take on Carroll on Tuesday, October 4 at 4:30 PM.
