Jalen Bowie (Frederick, MD/Frederick) put on a scoring clinic as he spurred the Dragons forward to a 93-52 blowout over Delaware Tech.
The Dragons defense was in fine form, holding Delaware Tech to just 32% shooting from the floor and forcing 23 turnovers. With Howard ahead 36-26 at halftime, the Dragons opened the flood gates in the second half with a 57 point outburst in the final 20 minutes of the game as they dominated every aspect of the game.
Bowie scored 19 points in the game in just 25 minutes of play.
Andrew Mills (Owings Mills, MD/New Town) was close behind with 15 points as he didn't miss a single shot in the game with 6-6 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line.
O'Meech Wilson (Glen Burnie, MD/North County) scored eight points while leading the team in rebounds (8) and assists (4). With the Dragons well ahead, Howard could make use of their deep roster with 39 points coming from the bench with 14 different Dragons scoring at least two points each.Â
Howard will get a 10 day break to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday before returning to action on Wednesday, November 29 at Anne Arundel. The Riverhawks are 1-5 on the season and 0-1 in regional play. The Dragons have won the last five meetings between the two teams, scoring in triple digits the last three games in a row. The last time Anne Arundel defeated Howard was on November 29, 2017 in a 91-89 game at Anne Arundel.
