North East, MD – The Dragons remained undefeated over the weekend for their Tri-Match at Cecil College. Beating both the Garrett College Lakers and the Cecil College Seahawks in 3 sets to none. 

The Dragons came out the gate on fire in their first match against the Lakers, they won 25-10, 25-11, 25-11. Vanessa Miller (Germantown, MD/Gaithersburg) led the offense with 11 kills and 8 digs, and Sydnei Harmon (Largo, MD/Flowers) put up 8 kills and 2 blocks. Makayla Holland (Gaithersburg, MD/Gaithersburg)  added 3 kills, 5 aces and 8 digs, while Stefamae Barquillia (Philippines/Einstein) had an astounding 7 service aces and picked up 10 digs. 

In the Dragons second and final match-up of the day against the Seahawks, the Dragons seemed to have gotten some push back but still came out with the win against Cecil College defeating them 25-19, 25-16, 25-22. Harmon led the match with 8 kills and 4 blocks, and Miller followed with 5 kills and 2 service aces and 16 digs. Barquillia and Holland had 2 service aces each, and combined for 40 digs, and Lal Mawi (Laurel, MD/Reservoir) added 4 kills. 

Howard will travel to Westmoreland, PA, to take on the Anne Arundel Riverhawks on Friday, September 29 at 6 PM.
