La Plata, MD - Howard Community College's women's soccer team lost their fifth game of the season and third straight on Tuesday, falling to Southern Maryland 6-2.

The Dragons scored their first goals since September 7. Lucy Segovia (Adelphi, MD/High Point) scored her first career goal in the fifth minute to tie the contest after an early Southern Maryland goal. The Hawks scored four quick goals in succession to pull away from Howard. Jennifer Reyes (Columbia, MD/Capital City) added a second goal for the Dragons right before the half, just before one last Southern Maryland goal.

The Dragons next matchup will be their home finale against Anne Arundel Community College on Saturday, October 5 at 12:00 PM.
