Columbia, MD - The Howard Community College Dragons women's volleyball team dropped their third straight game on Tuesday, losing to Hagerstown Community College 3-0.
For the fifth time in their last six games and the sixth time this year, the Dragons were swept by an opponent. Hagerstown outscored the Dragons 25-12, 25-11, and 25-7 in their three sets, and outscored Howard 55 to 11. The Dragons managed to keep things close in the first set, but struggled to keep up with Howard in the latter two sets.
Micaela Murray (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) led the Dragons in kills with five, while also recording seven digs and an assist.
Arianna Layne (Bridgetown, BB/Combermere School) recorded two kills and a team-leading nine digs.
Cheyenne Ellis (Eldersburg, MD/Century) led the team with seven assists, while
Kayden Jeselskis (Baltimore, MD/Rosedale Christian Academy) had a break-out game. Jeselskis recorded three aces and seven digs.
The Dragons next face Westmoreland County Community College on Saturday, September 28 at 12:00 PM.Â
