Columbia, MD - The Howard Community College Dragons dropped their tenth-straight game of the 2025 season, losing 9-0 via mercy rule to the Montgomery College Raptors.
The Dragons faced a tough task with a Division I team in town, but played well through the first half.
Bella Buscher (Glenelg, MD/Glenelg) looked strong in net, managing to keep the game scoreless until the 26th minute. Four quick goals from the Raptors just before the half allowed the Raptors to take a 4-0 lead into the half. A further five goals from the Raptors in the second half allowed Montgomery to score the mercy rule victory. Howard's offense looked better in the second half, recording four shots on goal, but none would find their mark.
Kaily Ok (Hanover, MD/Marriotts Ridge) once again led the Dragons in shots with three.
Kafilat Omijori (Lagos, Nigeria/The African Church Model College) recorded one shot on goal, while
Bella Buscher (Glenelg, MD/Glenelg) made 16 saves.
The Dragons next face Prince George's Community College on Thursday, October 9 at 6:00 PM.
