Staten Island, NY - The Howard Community College Dragon's women's flag football team concluded their first season last Saturday with a pair of losses in the National Collegiate Flag Football League Championships.

The Dragons played a pair of games against Villa Maria College from Buffalo and St. Joseph's University of New York to wrap up their first season. Sophomore quarterback Jaylah Putman (Jacksonville, FL/Long Reach) shined, scoring all four touchdowns for the Dragons in the 34-13 and 28-13 losses.

Howard will look to expand their schedule for 2026 and continue the growth of women's flag football in Maryland!
