Catonsville, MD - Howard Community College's women's soccer team fell to 0-9 on the season with a 3-0 loss to the rival CCBC Catonsville Cardinals.
In their first clash with the Cardinals since 2019, the Dragons managed to hold their opponent to just three goals, tying their season-low in goals allowed. Unfortunately, Howard's offense was unable to generate enough momentum to keep up with their rivals.
Howard was out-shot 25-5 in Thursday's contest and surrendered nine corner kicks. The Cardinals scored off unassisted goals from Alexandra Wilson and Gianna Barracatro, and sealed the win with an early second-half goal from Wilson.
Bella Buscher (Glenelg, MD/Glenelg) did the best she could in net, recording 13 saves. On offense,
Kaily Ok (Hanover, MD/Marriotts Ridge) led the Dragons with five total shots, four of which were on goal.
The Dragons next face Division I opponent Montgomery on Tuesday, October 7 at 4:00 PM here at Dragon Stadium.
