Columbia, MD - The Dragons put forth a much better effort in their second match of the Fall Brawl competition, but ultimately fell 3-0 against the Central Methodist University Eagles.
Howard was able to shock the veteran program with the first three goals of the game in the first two and a half minutes of the game led by
Oscar Minota (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) with two of them. The Eagles came right back to score the next four in a row to come from behind to take round one 4-3.
Central Methodist made a substitution for the second round and came out firing on all cylinders to defeat Howard CC 6-1 with the lone Dragon goal coming from
Matthew Peck (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial).Â
Howard fell behind early in round three as the Eagles were relentless in their attack as they won 9-3 with
Jeremy Hotchkiss (Columbia, MD/Long Reach) picking up a hat trick.
The Dragons' schedule won't get any easier as they face the University of Alabama next on Thursday, September 17 at 8:30 PM.
