Columbia, MD - In a commanding performance, the Howard Community College League of Legends Maroon Team crushed the University of Rio Grande team 2-0.

Game one was a brisk 22 minute game as the Dragons led the knock out battle 25-5 led by Andrew Wells (Ellicott City, MD/Marriotts Ridge) with eight, Alex Petrusan (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) with seven, and Abiola Monk (Ellicott City, MD/Wilde Lake) with five along with a team high 11 assists. 

Game two became an even more one-sided affair in under 20 minutes as Petrusan added 12 knock outs with Duy Phuong Nguyen (Kurland, Norway/Mailand videregående Skole) adding 10 from his jungle role. 

The Maroon Team will next take on Monroe College at 8 PM on Thursday, September 24 in a match that will be broadcasted by the NECC conference.
