Columbia, MD - In another impressive display of dominance that has become typical for the Dragons' League of Legends team, the Howard CC team defeated Culver Stockton University in a 2-0 sweep to keep their undefeated record in the spring season alive.
The Dragons took control of game one from the very beginning and never let go of the early advantage.
Abiola Monk (Ellicott City, MD/Wilde Lake) in the middle lane got out to a fantastic start with six knockouts and seven assists before suffering his first knockdown. From there it was a team effort to push right through the Culver Stockton mid lane with
Andrew Wells (Ellicott City, MD/Marriotts Ridge) picking up 12 knockouts along the way for a straightforward win.
Game two started out quite disastrous for the Dragons as they attempted to invade their opponents' territory out of the gates as Monk got knocked down twice in the first three minutes. Howard began to stabilize the contest after 15 minutes as the jungler Duy Nguyen dominated the affair as he finished with an incredible 33 knockouts to carry the Dragons to victory. Support man
Daniel Finke (Laurel, MD/DeMatha) chipped in a team high 29 assists with Monk adding 27 assists and 10 knockouts.
Howard will next take on Rogers State after competing over the weekend in the first ever contest of the Mid-Atlantic Esports Conference.
