Columbia, MD - In the NECC spring season opener, the Dragons were able to stifle Juniata College and take the 3-1 victory. The NECC saw a massive increase in participating schools this season with 57 teams in the Rocket League competition as the Dragons find themselves in the East Challengers division.

Game one saw the Dragons keep the ball in the offensive half for nearly the entire game with Akaash Patel (/) leading the way with two goals, an assist, and one fantastic save. Juniata fought back with a game two win thanks to six saves as they barely held on to emerge with a 2-1 victory.

Another close game ensued as the Dragons got an early goal from Patel with Logan Ghandi (/) assisting on a couple and scoring one to squeak out the lead with a 3-1 win. The Dragons got a battle from Juniata in game four, but captain Jeremy Hotchkiss (Columbia, MD/Long Reach) came through for the team with three saves and a goal to vault Howard to a 2-1 win and clinch the match.

The Dragons will get back to NECC play on Tuesday, September 16 when they take on old rivals Becker College at 5 PM.
