Columbia, MD - One of the most anticipated regular season games in HCC history is just around the corner, as the 20th-ranked Howard Community College Dragons host the third-ranked Mercer County Community College Vikings this Sunday at 2:00 PM!

The Dragons are off to their best start in the modern era of record keeping, winning their first six games by multiple scores. The success has lifted the Dragons to #20 in the NJCAA Division II polls.

The Mercer County Vikings currently sit at 7-0 on the season and are ranked third overall in Division II.

The two squads last met in West Windsor, New Jersey last year on October 7. The Vikings won that contest 6-1, with the lone goal for the Dragons coming from Darian Paz (Fredericksburg, VA/Stafford)-Figueroa. In the modern era of record keeping (2011-Present), the Dragons and Vikings have met a total of six times, with the Vikings winning all six encounters.

Sunday's matchup will be the first ranked vs ranked matchup in the history of Dragon Stadium since the Dragons moved up to Division II. The last time a ranked opponent visited the Dragons in the regular season was in 2023 when #7 CCBC Essex came to town.
