Columbia, MD - Following a record-setting 2025-26 season, the Howard Community College Dragons men's soccer team wrapped up the school year with an impressive showing off the field.
The Dragons saw eleven student-athletes named to the AD Honor Roll, two student-athletes named to the NJCAA All-Academic Team, and two student-athletes cross the stage as graduates of Howard Community College.
The Dragons finished the season with a cumulative GPA of 2.20. Three Dragons finished with 4.0 GPAs, as
Nicholas Mirecki,
Sebastian Fonseca, and
Predrag Ilic all completed their school years at the top of their classes.
Howard saw eleven student athletes make honor roll. In the fall semester, Mirecki, Ilic, Fonseca, Rafa Benetiz,
Jackson Costell,
Kevin Rubi, &
Nathan Kryder all made the cut. Benetiz, Mirecki, and
Uros Jankovic made AD Honor Roll in the spring.
With perfect 4.00 GPAs across both semesters, Mirecki and Fonseca were named to the NJCAA All-Academic First Team. The two were part of 21 total student-athletes to make the All-Academic teams.
Fonseca and
Donnie Frayer were among the 23 student-athletes who graduated at the end of the 2025-26 school year, with Fonseca graduating a semester early.
The Dragons now look ahead to the 2026-27 season, which will begin in mid-August with preseason showcases.
