Columbia, MD - A dominating effort from the Howard CC Overwatch team as they swept through the Hood College Blazers 3-0.
So dominating were the Dragons that they did not allow their opponents a single point during the three game match. Howard went on the attack initially in the first game and breezed through the Hood defense with plenty of time to spare with captain
Darien Hundley (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills)Â counting for 43 eliminations.
Marcelo Rodriguez (Windsor Mill, MD/Lansdowne) did a great job tanking the incoming damage for the Dragons with over 11,000 damage blocked while
Paul Gaylon (Halethorpe, MD/Lansdowne)Â healed nearly 10,000 in the game and
Brittney Jackson (Windsor Mill, MD/Meade) led the team in objective time.
Howard CC took up the attack first again in game two and once again shut out their opponents while taking all three points with a great performance from
Paul Delfico (Ellicott City, MD/Mount St. Joseph) on his healing duties. The Dragons and Blazers played the third game as per conference regulations and were able to once again hold Hood College scoreless with Hundley leading the way in eliminations in all three games.
The Dragons improved to 2-1 in NECC conference play and will take on Lakeland University on Thursday, October 14 at 7:30 PM.
