Columbia, MD – Despite a strong start for the Howard CC Dragons Overwatch team, the Newberry Wolves overwhelmed to take a 3-0 victory.
A
clean team battle win allowed Howard to take the early control and an easy first point advantage, but Newberry paid the Dragons in kind for the second point to tie it up. While the Dragons had their chances, Newberry swept through Howard at the big moments and took the first map to lead the match 1-0.

On the second map, the Dragons struggled to get any momentum going and failed to get any points on the attacking side. With the sides switching, Howard put up a valiant defensive attempt but eventually relented as Newberry clinched the match win. The third map saw Howard pick up a point on the attack, but the Wolves pushed through the Howard defense to sweep the match.
