Columbia, MD - For the first time in program history, Howard Community College's softball team had their first All-American named this year as sophomore
Marissa Webb was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American for 2026.
Webb was named second-team All-American utility player, marking the first HCC player to receive this honor.
Webb served as the Dragons duel-threat superstar, leading the team in home runs and strikeouts. She finished her year at the plate with a .477 batting average, and OPS of 1.539, 61 hits, 16 extra-base hits, 16 home runs, an 40 RBIs. At the mound, Webb went 10-8 as a starter with a team-leading ERA of 4.83 and 91 total strikeouts. In the field, Webb recorded 103 total putouts, second most on the team and the most for non-catchers. Her fielding percentage of .958 made her one of the most efficient defensive players in Region 20.
Webb will finish her career with the Dragons with a career .455 batting average, 120 hits, 37 extra-base hits, 34 home runs, and 102 RBIs. Her career ERA at the mound is 5.13 with 15 total wins and 137 total strikeouts.
